Long-Distance, Faith, and a First Trip to the States: Sarah & Liam’s Downtown Greenville Couples Session
This session felt special from the moment we planned it—not just because it was with my friend Sarah, but because her story with Liam is one of those beautiful, unexpected, “only God could orchestrate this” kinds of relationships.
They met in Australia while Sarah was there before heading to Papua New Guinea for a medical trip (she’s going to be a doctor one day, which is so her). A mutual friend introduced them, and the connection was instant and genuine. Months later, Liam made his very first trip to the States, and we knew we had to document their time together.
We walked all through Downtown Greenville—Falls Park, cute corners of Main Street, the Westin Poinsett by the bookstore—just capturing them exactly as they are: playful, warm, goofy, intentional. The kind of couple who looks at each other like they really mean it.
What I love most about them is the way they’ve chosen long-distance with full hearts. They’re thoughtful. They’re purposeful. And they’re grounding everything in their faith in God, which is such a beautiful foundation for any relationship.
At the session, I kept thinking about how incredible it is that two people from opposite sides of the world end up in the same frame, laughing on a sidewalk in South Carolina. Their story is proof that love finds a way—across oceans, time zones, and everything in between.
